Citadel of Angst is a site dedicated to writing about Painting. It gathers reflections on the breadth of painting in the present. This applies to work produced now and from across historical, geographic and cultural divides. It includes essays that range in their focus from smudges in the corner of a single work, to considerations of long dead artist’s entire oeuvre, to reviews of exhibitions taking place in and around NYC, where the author of these writings lives and works.
